Our firewood is an “Honest Cord” and a mix of fir, hemlock, some maple, alder and occasionally arbutus and yellow cedar. We split our wood for you, and the lengths are 15.25″ inches. Largest pieces average are 8” by 9” diameter—very few pieces in a load are this large. Most of the pieces are ready to go straight into the fireplace or woodstove: SMALLEST is 13inches. Remember, having a fire is some work but worth it, you may need to chop some pieces…
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BUY FIREWOOD?
The spring is the BEST time to order your firewood. In the winter months, Our full mix is also good but not guaranteed dry in every piece…just due to the season… Nonetheless, in the fall/winter months we check the wood directly off the truck to ensure there is dry wood for everyone. The wood is kept in log form, cut directly into the truck on delivery day and hence if it is raining, the outside of the wood will be wet. Nonetheless, with seasoned wood this should not be a concern. If you absolutely must have 100% bone dry wood, remember, SPRING and SUMMER is the only guarantee!!!
